The Perfect Date for Your Wedding!
We have been doing some research to help you with picking your wedding date. We used a little inspiration from The Knot & what they recommended on their blog. We know that choosing a date for a wedding can be tricky so here are some helpful tips.
We recommend not choosing a date that is on or close to a holiday, especially if it falls on a weekend. Vendors such as caterers, venue locations, limousine companies, hotels, etc. – tend to increase their rates around the holidays.
Something to keep in mind when deciding on your date, is the weather. April is very rainy and August is extremely hot. You should also think about other special events and/or family events that could be taking place, significant birthdays, baby showers, or even other weddings.
Suggested dates to avoid in 2015:
- Mother’s Day weekend: May 9-10, 2015
- Memorial Day weekend: May 23-25, 2015
- Father’s Day weekend: June 20-21, 2015
- Independence Day: July 4, 2015 (Saturday)
- Labor Day weekend: September 5-7, 2015
- Halloween: October 31, 2015 (Saturday)
- Thanksgiving Weekend
- Christmas Weekend
Whatever date you select, it should be mutual agreed upon & one that has meaning for both the bride & groom. Your wedding day is a special occasion to celebrate the union of two people…with all their family & friends.
